The potential for seed storage in relation to the current scenario in coastal-belt of Bangladesh
Quote from ramzan@ccdbbd.org on May 29, 2022, 4:39 amPeople in the coastal areas are largely dependent on agriculture. Sunflower, melon, watermelon, pulses, nuts are some of the highly produced agricultural crops in the coastal region. Due to the shortage of native seeds, every season they have to buy these seeds from different seed providing companies at high price. That is why it is not possible for them to buy seeds and grow crops in every season despite their desire and good potential. Therefore it is necessary to preserve the seeds from the grains produced. If they can preserve the seeds, they will be able to overcome this problem to a great extent. It has become very necessary for them to know different types of seed preservation methods. So, how can we know the different seed preservation methods and what we can do to provide the necessary training for seed preservation to the marginal farmers?
