The landmark Paris Agreement adopted in December 2015 has sent a historical signal: over 190 countries in the world have recognized the need for urgent climate action. If we are to keep the global temperature rise under 15 degrees C, the transition to a 100% renewable global energy system, which is already underway in many communities, cities and countries, should be dramatically accelerated.
