publications

The participants will learn how skill development through the apprenticeship approach works and explore how this connection can help build resilience and create new opportunities for displaced people. Participants will listen to the climate-induced migrants directly, the case studies, and best practices related to the integration of skill development and climate-induced migration. Discussions will focus on the challenges and opportunities, including the need for effective policies and programs to support skills development and collaboration between government, NGOs, and private sector partners. We will also examine the benefit of the apprenticeship approach in supporting the skills development of migrants and the importance of ensuring that migrants have access to quality training and employment opportunities. By attending this session, participants will have a deeper understanding of the interplay between climate-induced migration and skill development. They will learn about the practical strategies and approaches that can help to build resilience and empower migrants. Whether you are a researcher, practitioner, or policymaker, this session will provide valuable insights and opportunities for advancing the conversation on the link between climate-induced migration and skill development.
