The 2^nd Danish Cooperation Fund for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Rural Areas (DREEERA) is a trust fund established by the ADB in 2006. The DREEERA is funded by Denmark and aims to promote the use of renewable energies, particularly in very poor and remote rural areas of ADB low income member countries.

Eligibility to Receive Funding

ADB developing member countries with an annual per-capita income of less than USD 2 500 are eligible.

DREEERA focuses on:

• Investing in sustainable renewable energies in poor, rural (off-grid) environments;
• Financing technical assistance;
• Advisory services, training, and institutional support.
