Power Africa Initiative

“Power Africa” is a five-year American presidential initiative launched by the former US -President Barack Obama in Tanzania in 2013. The initiative aims to increase access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable power in Africa.
The program is designed as a multi-stakeholder partnership amongst the governments of the United States of America, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia, and the private sector of these countries. AfDB, in cooperation with USAID, is in the lead. The estimated budget is approximately USD 3 billion. Eligibility to Receive Funding: No information
